APRIL FOOLS!

Hello people. Hope everyone had a great April Fools day, because I know I sure did! =]
Before we started the class today, we talked a little about the april fools jokes on the internet. How people make viruses that are fake and put them on the internet. But most of them are real so be aware!!!! In the old days, viruses were made to just hack into a computer and damage one's computer, but recently, viruses are made to be hidden in your computer, and then mess up your computer, by making your computer not function the way its supposed to. Virus makers can now control the way your computer works. They can also make money by selling information that they stole off your computer, like some one's pictures, email address etc. Now we all sit and think to ourselves why people spend so much time creating viruses, just so that they can hack into other people's computers. Well, virus writers are mostly people who have been turned down for program writting, because they weren't good enough, therefore they take their anger out on others, by messing up other people's computers. Sounds silly, but they do it anyways! Here's something that might surprise you. Everyone thinks that when they have anti virus programs on their computer, they are protected from any virus that is out there on the Internet. But their wrong! Some viruses can hide themselves from anti virus programs. Where do all these viruses come from? Virus makers are smart, in some ways, because they hide viruses in places that people use the most. For example, no one likes paying for Photoshop because it's expensive, so the next best place to own photoshop is by downloading it from a site! Now you think, just because the site says it's safe, and virus free, it has to be! But in reality, virus writers hide viruses in programs like Photoshop, because they know that a lot of people like downloading the program! It's not just computer programs, but movies, songs, and pirated softwares. Here's a hint! Never download a pirated version of anything, especially Anti Virus, because it is guaranteed that it contains a virus. Also because people hide viruses in the Anti Virus program, and it can't detect it because it is pirated!
Here's a cool trick! In order to prevent viruses on your computer, if you don't have Anti Virus is to run your clocks two days behind, so that when a virus hits, and other computers are affected, you will find out about the virus ahead of everyone!
