Think about it. If everyone made a page on the wiki and wrote down every hint that Mr.Case has given us during the lessons, we would all get a really good mark on the test.
Business concept. Which is when you describe to him roughly what you are going to do for your business. You use Microsoft word to show your general idea. What sort of costs and obstacle are you going to have to overcome? Like time, knowledge and more.
Using excel we are going to create a budget. One how much money are
Gross income- how much money you bring in. [your earnings.]
Net is the amount of money you earn after taking away the expenses.
Capitol expense- all the extra expenses that you will have, even when your business is done.
You want to think of everything.
You can break it down to operational expenses.
When it comes to taxes, its easier.
Business cards for 25 dollars.
You can get a basic web page for about 150 dollars.
You need to think about the rent costs.
You have to think about buying shelves, painting the store, getting people to set things up for you.
Your net income is your total income minus your total expenses. Then you have to look at the total and see if the business you are planing to do is realistic.
You have to be REALISTIC, or else your business wont work!
Is your business viable! When you hand it in to Mr.Case and he says you idiot your going to lose money, then your business is not worth it.
Just because you have lost money, it doesn't mean that its not a worthwhile business.
The capital expenses are sometimes worthwhile.
Opening your business is a risk. But some good things about having a business is that you are working for yourself. If things go well, you can make more money than working in MacDonalds or anywhere else. Job experience. It looks good on your resume when you are going to work for somewhere else. For example, if you want to then go work in MacDonalds, and on your resume you have written that you owned your own business, it will get you a better position.
Here is what you need to do:
start on making your own business budget on excel.
And write your business idea for your business, on Microsoft word for Monday's class so that you are not behind, because we are moving onto something else on Monday.
Work hard and think everything through!
Bye.
